About DSB Heating

We are one of Essex’s leading Plumbing and Heating Companies. Meet our team. Our Engineers undertake all types of works from small plumbing problems such as a leaking taps, to the Installation of full Central Heating Systems.

During our time in this trade we have come across many boiler faults, parts that require changing and leaking pipe work that needs fixing. We are equipped with the knowledge and experience you require when looking for a plumber or Gas Engineer to carry out your repair or installation.

Our Plumbing and Gas Works are carried out in a professional manner at all times. Over the last 10 years we have supplied our services all over London and in particular Hertfordshire and Essex. We are based in Harlow and Nazeing. When you need a plumber or heating engineer then look no further, there is no job to big or small for us. Daniel Buck

Managing Director

Welcome to DSB Heating & Mechanical Services, owned & directed by myself Daniel Buck.

Since graduating from Oaklands College in June 2003, I built up a demand for quality services via friends, family and word of mouth. The demand and good reputation led to purchasing a van and setting off to create the independent, family-run, DSB Heating & Mechanical Services.

From acting as the main letting contractor for local estate agents to working alongside building developers and homeowners, I worked hard to grow this business. Adding both my father Simon as a fully qualified plumbing & heating engineer and Charlie who has been with the team for over a year. Charlie joined us as a qualified plumber, eager to learn the workings of gas appliances and heating systems. Completing the DSB Family is our Office Manager Sinead, who is always on hand to take all the enquiries and client calls, acting as a point of liaison.

On 23rd January 2024, I passed the NHTC – Foundation Heat Pump Training Course alongside Charlie. On the 7th & 8th of February 2024, I continued my training and completed the Air Source Heat Pump Course.

When required, we reach out to our knowledgeable contractors whom we have teamed up with on many an occasion. As a small family-run company, no job is too big or too small and we always strive to meet your Heating & Mechanical Needs.

On the 7th May 2024 I was successfully assessed in Single Stage Pressure Jet Servicing and Commissioning, Installation of Oil & Bio-liquid fuelled Fixed Combustion Appliances & Systems and Installation of oil fuel storage and supply systems connected to fixed combustion appliances. Sinead Brophy

Office Manager

Hello, I am Sinead the office manager at DSB Heating and Mechanical Services. I started working for DSB Heating in April 2018 after 11 long years working in London city within various industries as a secretary. My role here consists of booking jobs, dealing with enquiries, payments, ordering equipment, liaising with clients and all other administrative duties.

DSB Heating and Mechanical Services are a great company to work for. The engineers are hard working with great sense of humour and positive attitudes. Being the first point of call to all customers and clients I regularly receive outstanding feedback on the guys and their work. They are highly motivated and confident in everything they do and it is with great pleasure that I can say I work alongside these professionals.

Simon Buck

Gas Safe Engineer

Hi, I am Simon, I have been working with DSB Heating and Mechanical Services since 2017. We are passionate and eager to work due to the fact that DSB Heating is a great company to work for. It’s a family run business that we strive to grow. The business has developed each year due to a very good customer base and recommendation. We take pride in all we do and good feedback is what motivates us to continue doing our best.

My days vary from full heating installations, bathroom renovations, boiler breakdowns and leaks. Depending on the size of jobs we sometimes work together. As a whole we are all very reliable and a trustworthy business that I am proud to be a part of.

Charlie Grimshaw

Gas Safe Engineer and Plumber

Hi I am Charlie Grimshaw. I qualified as a plumber in 2011 from C&K Assessments and began working for DSB Heating in August 2017. I worked in removals while training in college when a friend mentioned that DSB Heating and Mechanical Services were looking for an apprentice. I met with Dan and started immediately.

One year in and after a lot of hard work, DSB Heating enrolled me on a Gas Safe Course where I attended college one day a week and worked along side Dan or Simon, both of which are qualified in plumbing and heating. I gained a lot of knowledge and hands on experience within 2018.

In January 2019, I successfully completed my portfolio and became a fully qualified Plumber and Heating engineer. I look forward to my future with DSB Heating and Mechanical Services.

Continuing my training, on 23rd January 2024, I passed the NHTC – Foundation Heat Pump Training Course alongside Dan.

Teddy White

Plumber

Hi, my name is Teddy White. I attended Epping St Johns secondary school and left with an interest in plumbing. I started an apprenticeship with DSB Heating in March 2020. They enrolled me on a plumbing course at CK Assessments which I qualified for in 2021. I attended 1 day per week in the classroom and the remaining 4 days were spent working alongside a qualified engineer, gaining experience and knowledge to build my portfolio.

After passing my plumbing course, DSB Heating enrolled me on a Gas Safe Course, which I hope to qualify for in late 2023.

I enjoy working within this company and growing my knowledge within this sector. I look forward to my future with DSB Heating and Mechanical Services.

Baylie Gasson

Gas Safe Engineer and Plumber

Hi I am Baylie Gasson. I attended Harlow college and completed level 2 plumbing qualification. I worked for a local bathroom installation company for 2 and a half years, before hearing about DSB Heating and Mechanical Services and taking the opportunity to start a career with them in January 2021.

I had a good understanding of plumbing and how to approach and undertake tasks accordingly, so by September 2021, I was enrolled at G20 Gas Training Ltd completing a Gas Diploma Course and unvented assessment. This was a 1 day per week within a class room and the remaining time building my knowledge and portfolio on site for the remaining 4 days of the week.

By April 2022 I became a fully qualified gas engineer and was given my own van to be able to attend and cover all types of plumbing and heating call outs.

This is just the start for me and I look forward to my future with DSB Heating and Mechanical Services and try to grow within the company and work on improving myself also. I look forward to coming to work and attacking a new challenge everyday. I’m grateful for every opportunity and look forward to the future at DSB Heating and Mechanical Services Ltd.
